HI, I’M PAIGE

It all started with a hip surgery and the drive to get back on my horse.

’After hours of Physical Therapy, working with a personal trainer and trying all the things - a friend suggested I give Pilates a try and I never looked back.

This is a space dedicated to getting you back to doing all the things that you love. To help you not only get your body moving better, but to get you stronger than you've ever been.

I felt like I lost a piece of myself when I was injured and couldn't do the things that I love to do- play tennis, horse back ride, cycling, ballet - and Pilates gave it all back to me.

While I look back and will always feel fortunate for being able to compete at such a high level of competitive sports, it eventually took a toll on me both physically and mentally.

It started with a lumbar vertebrae fracture at age 15 from a horse back riding fall. Leading into an overuse injury in my early 20's with a hip labral cartilage tear. Then 2 years later, I tore the cartilage in my other hip and had to have another surgery and found Pilates in the process.

Pilates changed my life. It addressed what was going on in my entire body, not just my hip. I started feeling better, moving better, having more energy, less pain. And I was able to start playing tennis and cycling again.

The Primer

Extroverted, introvert. Give me a night in with my dogs and Netflix or dinner with the girls, and I'm one happy camper.

What I'm

loving

Putting on my seat warmers in my car on my way to ballet class, even though I live in Florida. ;)

What I'm

learning

More about hypermobility quirks, nuances and training needs (because yours truly is a hypermobile human too).

What I'm

not about

Quick "fixes", fad diets, calorie counting, fitness gimmicks, or being "on trend".

what I

believe

Progress that lasts takes time, repetition, and work. Luckily, I make that work fun! You cannot outrun poor habits forever, but luckily you have a bestie that will help you stay on point.

Education & Certifications

I attended The Ohio State University where I received a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Life Sciences (Pre-med). Upon completion of my degrees, I worked in a hospital as a Social Worker for 8 years. It was during this time that I ended up having hip surgery for a torn labrum and found Pilates during my rehab process. I found it so effective that I needed to share it with others, so I become a certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2014 and haven't stopped taking certifications since.
